A Little About Me

MeI am Nik Korablin and Niko is my online portfolio and journal. I use this site as a place to write about all the things that interest me, update people on the things I’m working on, and, finally, to showcase my work. I am currently available for hire.

Right now, I’m a student at Temple University in Philadelphia studying computer science. Why? Because I’ve always been fascinated with computers and the series of tubes behind them. Along with programming, I love design, filmmaking, writing, jQuery, the Philadelphia Eagles, web standards, and cycling.

As far as web development goes, I have four years of professional experience working for a web design company in Ephrata, PA. I’ve worked with design, coding, front-end development, eCommerce, and WordPress extensively in my experience. I am always looking for new things to keep busy with and also coming up with my own little projects.

And Some Stuff About The Site

This website was hand-crafted by yours truly (of course with the help of the WordPress Codex). I designed and prototyped the project in Adobe Photoshop and used my favorite text editor, Coda, to put it all together in a nice, standards-compliant package. I’ve spent countless hours and Mountain Dews working and troubleshooting the site to perfection. I’m sorry IE6 users, I haven’t bothered helping you guys out.
